How to choose the right doormat size
Match the mat to the door — not the other way round.

Start with the door width
A doormat looks and works best when it covers most of the door width. Aim for a mat about 80% of the door width, leaving a few centimetres on each side.
- Single door: 40×60 cm or 50×80 cm
- Wide single door: 60×90 cm
- Double door or hallway: 80×120 cm, 90×150 cm or a 60×150 cm runner
Check the door clearance
For indoor mats, check that the door can open over the mat. Low-profile mats are made for this.
